THE SOLO GUITAR OF JOE STEELE
JAZZ R&B POP & FUSION
Joe Steele was born and raised in Washington, N.J.
He began playing guitar at the age of 9, under the direction of his
father, Edward, a professional Jazz musician.
At the age of 14, Joe joined his first band, "THE MAJESTIC FIVE”
He went on to perform in a number of top 40 show bands and had his own trio at
one time. Having been inspired by Joe Pass, Joe Steele decided to study solo
under the direction of Raymond, guitarist for Wilson Pickett & the Midnight
Movers Joe's style of playing was also influenced by Wes Montgomery, George
Benson, Larry Coryell, Earl Kluge, and more recently by Stanley Jordan and Tuck
Anderson. Joe's professional solo career began in 1979 with performances for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Joe's performance includes arrangements of popular songs, jazz standards and His original compositions Joe sets a unique ambiance for parties, receptions, dinners, or any social event.
